How a shopper pays with Multibanco
The shopper chooses Multibanco and gives their email. Stripe displays the entity number, reference, amount and expiry, and can email the voucher too. The shopper pays in online banking or at an ATM; they are not sent back to your site afterwards. After the voucher expires, Stripe can wait up to four more days for late payment notices before closing the order.
Who can accept Multibanco
Stripe accounts across the EU and EEA, the UK, Switzerland and the US can accept Multibanco. Because the shopper pushes money from their own bank, Stripe says there is no dispute process that can lead to a chargeback.
