Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 11, 2026

PlatformDTC is used by merchants to run their businesses and by their customers to buy from them. We want the platformdtc.com website, the merchant dashboard and the checkouts we host to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

Our standard

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is the standard we design and test against. We do not claim full conformance with it today, and we are continuing to remove barriers.

What is in place

  • Page language. Pages on platformdtc.com and in the merchant dashboard declare their language, so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
  • Skip links. Our marketing pages include a link that lets keyboard and screen reader users skip past navigation straight to the main content.
  • Zoom. Page zoom is never disabled. Text fields in the dashboard render at 16px, so mobile browsers do not zoom unexpectedly when a field receives focus.
  • Reduced motion. When your device's reduce-motion setting is on, animations and transitions across the site and the dashboard are cut to near-instant, and scrolling happens without animation.
  • Colour contrast. We measure text contrast across the merchant dashboard's screens against the WCAG AA thresholds — 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text — with an automated audit at phone and desktop widths, and fix the failures it finds.
  • Touch targets. On phones, the controls in the dashboard's top bar and navigation drawer are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Keyboard and screen readers. The dashboard's navigation drawer closes with the Escape key and, when closed, is removed from keyboard and screen reader focus. Dialogs, menus and popovers are built on Radix UI components, which provide keyboard interaction and ARIA semantics.
  • Regression tests. Automated tests check that zoom stays enabled, touch targets meet the minimum, text fields keep their size, and the navigation drawer behaves as described above.

Known limitations

  • Storefront content. The text, images and layout of each store — including image descriptions — are created by that merchant. If you find a barrier on a merchant's store, please tell the merchant, and let us know too if it comes from the platform.
  • Payment fields. Card and wallet fields at checkout are provided by payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, Checkout.com and MyFatoorah, inside their own frames. Their accessibility is controlled by those providers.
  • Audit coverage. Our automated contrast audit covers the merchant dashboard. The marketing website and hosted checkout are not yet part of it.

Report a barrier

If something on PlatformDTC is difficult or impossible for you to use, email contact@platformdtc.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. It helps us to know:

  • The page address (URL)
  • What you were trying to do
  • The browser and any assistive technology you use

We respond to email support requests within 24 hours. See Contact for other ways to reach us.

PlatformDTC is a trading name of Legalize Freedom LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, registered at 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, United States. The Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Written enquiries: contact@platformdtc.com.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Every plan is billed monthly and renews at its listed monthly price. Card processing is charged per transaction at the rate shown for your plan. Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, and partial months are not prorated.

Payment processing for PlatformDTC Payments is provided by Stripe, Inc. Card details are entered into Stripe-hosted fields and never reach PlatformDTC servers. PlatformDTC is not a regulated financial institution: payment processing and money transmission are performed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider.

The brand owner is the seller and merchant of record for every order placed through a store on PlatformDTC. PlatformDTC is a software platform: it does not source, own, warehouse, inspect, fulfil or ship products, and is not the seller of those products.

Availability follows our payment processor: you can sell wherever it can onboard your business, and the country on a payments account is permanent once set. We do not provide service to individuals or entities in OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions, and some business categories require prior written approval.

By agreeing to the Terms you also enter into the Data Processing Addendum, which is incorporated by reference and applies automatically with no separate signature. New subprocessors are published at least 30 days before they begin processing personal data. Application servers and the primary database run on Amazon Web Services in US East (N. Virginia).

The security page describes controls we operate. It is not a certification or an audit report.
