Checked
Braintree 2061 “Invalid Transaction Data” means there may be an issue with the shopper's card or a temporary problem at the issuing bank. It is a hard decline. Braintree advises letting the shopper try again, and if it keeps failing, asking for a different card or payment method.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. On its Stripe rail a temporary bank problem is retried on a short +2/+5/+8 day schedule, while a problem with the card itself stops retries and asks the subscriber for another method.
Why it happens
Data in the request did not pass the issuer or processor checks.
What the store can do
Let the shopper retry once, then offer another payment method.
For developers
Braintree returns processor_response_code 2061 with processor_response_text “Invalid Transaction Data” and processor_response_type “hard_declined” on the Transaction object.
