What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. Stripe has a no_action_taken code too; PlatformDTC counts it among declines another processor may approve, so checkout can offer PayPal card fields when the store has set that backup.
Why it happens
A processing error interrupted the payment before anything was approved.
What the store can do
Let the shopper try again. If it repeats, offer another payment method.
For developers
Braintree returns processor_response_code 2034 with processor_response_text “No Action Taken” and processor_response_type “soft_declined” on the Transaction object.
