What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. Authorization codes on PlatformDTC's rails are handled inside the processor's own API, not typed by the store, so this particular error has no counterpart there.
Why it happens
A transaction that needed an authorization code, such as a forced or voice-authorized sale, arrived without a valid one.
What the store can do
Try once more. If it fails again, ask the shopper to contact their bank or use another method.
For developers
Braintree returns processor_response_code 2039 with processor_response_text “Invalid Authorization Code” and processor_response_type “hard_declined” on the Transaction object.
