What does Adyen refusal reason 22 “FRAUD-CANCELLED” mean?
Checked
Adyen refusal reason 22, "FRAUD-CANCELLED", means the sum of pre-authorization and post-authorization risk checks reached a fraud score of 100 or more, so the transaction was flagged as fraudulent and refused. Unlike code 20, the bank may already have authorized it before post-authorization checks pushed the score over the limit. Review the order before taking another payment.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC does not connect to Adyen; its checkout runs on Stripe and PayPal. Processor fraud refusals such as Stripe's fraudulent are never retried by PlatformDTC and never rerouted to a backup processor at checkout.
Why it happens
Adyen runs some risk checks after the issuer's answer. When those, added to the earlier checks, reach 100, the payment is cancelled as fraud.

What the store can do
Check the post-authorization rules that contributed. If the shopper is genuine, adjust the rules; do not keep re-running the same card.
