Naver Pay for online stores: how it works for Korean shoppers
Checked
Naver Pay is a South Korean wallet from the Naver internet company, and shoppers can put their Naver Pay points toward a purchase. Through Stripe, a shopper in South Korea is redirected to Stripe's local partner to approve the payment, priced in Korean won from 100 won. Businesses in 28 countries, including Singapore, can accept it without a Korean company. Naver Pay supports subscriptions; refunds and disputes have 365-day windows.

PlatformDTC checkout does not offer Naver Pay today; Korean shoppers can check out by card or with Apple Pay instead, and PayPal only appears if the store prices in a PayPal currency such as US dollars rather than won.
How a shopper pays with Naver Pay
The shopper picks Naver Pay, is redirected to Stripe's local processing partner to authenticate and approve, can choose to use Naver Pay points, and is sent back to the store. All items must be priced in won.
What it means for your store
Stripe says South Korean payment methods use strong authentication, which cuts unrecognised payments, but customers can still dispute for up to 365 days. You have 7 days to answer a dispute or you lose it automatically, and the decision, made within 45 days, is final. Supported dispute reasons include credit not processed, duplicate, fraudulent, product not received, product unacceptable and subscription canceled.
Naver Pay requires stores to follow its brand guidelines when showing the Naver Pay logo.
