What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. The network's blocked-at-first-use answer is Visa 78, which PlatformDTC treats as never-retry: a renewal is held and the subscriber asked to update or re-activate the card instead of being charged again.
Why it happens
Replacement and new cards usually need activation through the bank's app, website or phone line before they work.
What the shopper can do
Activate the card in your banking app or by phone, then pay again.
What the store can do
Ask the shopper to activate the card and retry, or use another card.
