What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC leaves Checkout.com 2005C unclassified for routing, which by design means no reroute: a wrong move to a second processor can draw network fines, so the shopper sees the decline on Checkout.com. A subscription renewal declined with 2005C is never retried: the subscription is held past due and the customer is emailed a link to add a new card.
Why it happens
The bank blocks certain transaction types, for example online or cross-border payments, on that card.
What the shopper can do
Ask the bank to allow online payments on the card, or use another card.
What the store can do
Suggest another payment method rather than repeating the same card.
