What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC leaves Checkout.com 20082 unclassified for routing, which by design means no reroute: a wrong move to a second processor can draw network fines, so the shopper sees the decline on Checkout.com. Checkout.com 20082 is not yet in PlatformDTC's renewal table, so a renewal declined with it follows the store's normal retry schedule and is logged so it can be classified.
Why it happens
The card verification values or cryptographic data sent with the payment did not match what the bank holds.
What the shopper can do
Re-enter the security code on the back of the card, or try another card.
What the store can do
Prompt the shopper to correct their details. Automatic retries of the same data are wasted.
