What PlatformDTC does

PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. Its Stripe checkout handles a bank's request for 3-D Secure as a needs-action decline: the shopper is asked to confirm with their bank, and a renewal waits for the customer instead of being retried off-session.

Why it happens

Mastercard SecureCode is the older name of Mastercard's 3D Secure service. Some cards require it, and your account does not have it on.

What the store can do

Ask Braintree to enable 3D Secure, then add it to your checkout.

For developers

Braintree returns processor_response_code 2058 with processor_response_text “Merchant not Mastercard SecureCode enabled” and processor_response_type “hard_declined” on the Transaction object.
