What does PayPal processor response code PPCT mean?
Checked
PayPal processor response code PPCT (CARD_TYPE_UNSUPPORTED) means the type of card used isn't supported for this payment, so it was refused. Retrying the same card won't help. The shopper should pay with a different card brand or method; the merchant should check which card types its PayPal account accepts.

What PlatformDTC does
A PayPal card payment declined PPCT is stored by PlatformDTC as card_not_supported and counted as permanent. On either retry schedule (the default Fixed schedule or Smart retry), automatic renewal attempts stop at once, the subscription is held past due rather than cancelled, and the customer is emailed a one-click way to add a new card.
Why it happens
The card's type or brand isn't one the payment setup accepts.
What the shopper can do
Use another card, for example a different brand, or your PayPal balance.
What the store can do
Show only the card brands you accept at checkout.
If you want to accept this card type, check your PayPal account settings.
For developers
PayPal returns PPCT in processor_response.response_code on the capture (purchase_units[].payments.captures[]) or authorization of a card payment. PayPal's own name for it is CARD_TYPE_UNSUPPORTED.
Keep the raw code with the order. PayPal's label is the only official meaning, and the exact code tells support which branch of PayPal's table fired.
