How do Singapore shoppers pay online?
Checked
Singapore shoppers pay online by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with PayNow and with GrabPay. PayNow, offered by participating banks and major payment institutions, sends Singapore dollars instantly using a mobile number, NRIC/FIN or a business UEN; the Association of Banks in Singapore says it is free for retail customers and runs 24/7. Online, Stripe shows a PayNow QR code to scan in a banking app. GrabPay is a balance-based wallet confirmed with a one-time password.

PlatformDTC checkout does not offer PayNow or GrabPay today. Shoppers in Singapore can pay by card, including UnionPay and JCB where the store's Stripe account accepts them, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the store's PayPal in Singapore dollars.
PayNow at checkout
On Stripe, PayNow payments run from S$0.50 to S$200,000 and don't support repeat billing. The shopper pays from an app of a participating bank or non-bank financial institution.
GrabPay
GrabPay shoppers keep a balance in the wallet. At checkout they are sent to GrabPay, confirm with a one-time password and return to the store. Stripe supports it for Malaysia and Singapore.
