How do Filipino shoppers pay online?
Checked
Filipino shoppers pay with the GCash app, bank and e-wallet transfers, and cards. GCash says 94 million Filipinos have used it, and it offers QR payments. InstaPay is a near real-time transfer service in pesos between accounts at participating banks and e-money issuers supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, available 24/7. One participating bank lists a daily transfer cap of PHP 50,000. PayPal charges in pesos too.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC checkout does not offer GCash or InstaPay today. Filipino shoppers can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the store's PayPal in Philippine pesos.
GCash and InstaPay
GCash groups its services under send, pay, borrow, grow and enjoy, with QR payments under pay. InstaPay moves money between bank and e-wallet accounts in near real time; Philippine Trust Company's FAQ names the BSP as the regulator.
What a foreign store can offer
Stripe doesn't list GCash or InstaPay among its payment methods, so cards, phone wallets and PayPal are the usual route for a store outside the Philippines.
