How do Finns pay online?
Checked
Finns have long paid online through their bank: Paytrail, a Finnish payment provider, calls online banking the method Finnish consumers use most, with Nordea, OP, Danske Bank, S-Pankki and others. Phone payments MobilePay and Siirto have grown quickly and now challenge it. For buying now and paying later, Finnish shops offer Klarna, OP Lasku, OP Tililuotto and Walley. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal are also common.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC checkout does not offer Finnish online bank payments, MobilePay or Siirto today. Finnish shoppers can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal in euros, or Klarna on one-time orders from €1 to €10,000 when the store's Stripe account is in the EEA, UK or Switzerland.
Bank payments and phone payments
An online bank payment sends the shopper to their own bank to approve. Paytrail says MobilePay and Siirto have become much more popular in recent years. MobilePay is approved in its app and is shared with Denmark.
Klarna in Finland
Klarna's Finnish options are pay in full, pay later in 30 days and financing up to 36 months, charged in euros.
