How do Greek shoppers pay online?
Checked
Greek shoppers pay online by card and, increasingly, with IRIS, the interbank instant payment service run by DIAS. Since 1 December 2025, IRIS has been live at every physical point of sale and e-commerce site in Greece, and Stripe notes that a new Greek law requires businesses operating in Greece to offer it. DIAS expected 120 million IRIS transactions in 2025. Klarna offers pay later up to €500 and pay in 3.

What the IRIS rule means
Stripe says the law applies to legal entities and sole traders operating in Greece. A store based in Greece should check how it will offer IRIS; PlatformDTC checkout doesn't include it today.
DIAS says IRIS's person-to-person service has 4.2 million registered users.
Klarna in Greece
Klarna's Greek options are pay in full, pay later up to €500 and pay in 3 from €1 to €1,000. PlatformDTC follows Klarna's Greek cap of €4,000 per cart.
