What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC treats 20061 from Checkout.com as a timing problem at the bank. It never reroutes this decline to a backup processor, since a second processor reaches the same account and the same limit. With Smart retry on, a subscription renewal declined with 20061 is retried 2, 5 and 8 days after the first decline.
Why it happens
Cards carry spending caps per day or per period. This purchase took the total over the cap.
What the shopper can do
Use another card, ask the bank to raise the limit, or try again after the limit resets.
What the store can do
At checkout suggest another method. For recurring charges, wait at least a day before retrying.
