What PlatformDTC does

PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. On its own PayPal rail a cancelled agreement arrives as AGREEMENT_ALREADY_CANCELLED, BILLING_AGREEMENT_NOT_FOUND or a revoked vault token: PlatformDTC cancels the subscription without retrying and records it as the customer revoking the agreement, not a failed payment.

Why it happens

The buyer removed your business from their PayPal automatic payments.

What the store can do

Contact the customer. If they want to stay, they need to approve PayPal again or add a card.

For developers

Braintree returns processor_response_code 2070 with processor_response_text “PayPal Buyer Revoked Pre-Approved Payment Authorization” and processor_response_type “hard_declined” on the Transaction object.
