What does Braintree 2007 “No Account” mean?
Checked
Braintree 2007 “No Account” means the card number is not on file with the bank that issued it. It is a hard decline. The shopper should contact the bank or pay with another card. Braintree's Visa table lists 2007 under both category 1 (never retry) and category 3 (details wrong), so treat the same number as dead until the shopper fixes it.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC does not connect to Braintree. The closest Stripe answer is invalid_account, and the network code for no such number is Visa 14; PlatformDTC never retries either, holds the renewal and asks the subscriber to update the card.
Why it happens
The account was closed or replaced, the number belongs to a card that was never activated, or digits were mistyped into a number that happens to pass the format check.
What the store can do
Ask for a different card. For saved cards in subscriptions, send an update-card request rather than retrying.
For developers
Braintree returns processor_response_code 2007 with processor_response_text “No Account” and processor_response_type “hard_declined” on the Transaction object. Braintree maps it to Visa category 3 (issuer cannot approve with these details): at most 15 retries in 30 days. Its header table also lists 2007 under Visa category 1.
Frequently asked questions
