How do Polish shoppers pay online? BLIK, P24 and cards
Checked
Polish shoppers pay online mostly with BLIK: they generate a six-digit code in their banking app, type it at checkout and approve a push notification. BLIK reports 2.9 billion transactions in 2025, nearly half of them, 1.4 billion, in online stores, and 20.7 million active accounts at the end of December 2025. Przelewy24 sends shoppers to their bank to approve a transfer. Cards, PayPal and Klarna in złoty are also used.

How BLIK works
The shopper opens their banking app, gets a six-digit BLIK code, enters it in the payment form and confirms in the app. BLIK says online store payments in 2025 were worth PLN 219 billion.
Przelewy24 and Klarna
Przelewy24 is a Polish payment aggregator: the shopper is sent to it, picks a bank and approves the transfer. Klarna in Poland offers pay later and pay in 3, charged in złoty.
