What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC classifies Checkout.com 30022 as never retry. Checkout does not offer a backup processor for it, because the same card or the same details fail the same way everywhere. A subscription renewal declined with 30022 is never retried: the subscription is held past due and the customer is emailed a link to add a new card.
Why it happens
The issuer caps the number of payments on the card and this one went over.
What the shopper can do
Use another card, or ask the bank about the limit.
What the store can do
Offer PayPal or another card instead of retrying.
