Authorize.Net · Decline codes
What does Authorize.Net 63 “An error occurred during processing. Please try again” mean?
Checked
Authorize.Net response reason code 63 is a processing error; if it repeats, Authorize.Net says to check that the merchant business country is set correctly. It matters most on TSYS (formerly Vital or Visanet) accounts, because business information is sent with each transaction and they fail if it is not set correctly. Update it under Merchant Profile in the Merchant Interface.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC treats Authorize.Net code 63 as a gateway-side fault on renewals: the charge is deferred and retried, and the subscriber is not emailed that their payment failed.
Why it happens
TSYS accounts transmit business information fields with every transaction. Wrong or missing details, especially the country, make them fail.
What the store can do
In the Merchant Interface open Merchant Profile, then Edit Business Information, and correct the address (including country), phone, products description and website. If it is already right, ask your merchant service provider to confirm TSYS has the same address.
