What PlatformDTC does

PlatformDTC classifies Checkout.com 30015 as never retry. Checkout does not offer a backup processor for it, because the same card or the same details fail the same way everywhere. A subscription renewal declined with 30015 is never retried: the subscription is held past due and the customer is emailed a link to add a new card.

Why it happens

A typo in the leading digits, a made-up number, or a card range that no longer exists.

What the shopper can do

Re-enter the card number carefully, or use another card.

What the store can do

Ask the shopper to correct the number. Many 30015s in a row from one visitor can be card testing.

For developers

The payment comes back with status Declined, response_code 30015 and a response_summary such as "No such issuer" (Checkout.com notes the text can vary by endpoint). Checkout.com's Visa table puts this code in category 1, which it pairs with recommendation code 03 (do not try again); read processing.recommendation_code on the response.
