How do Colombians pay online?
Checked
Colombians pay online with PSE, ACH Colombia's service for online purchases that debits a savings, checking or electronic deposit account. Bre-B, the Banco de la República's instant payment system launched in 2025, moves money between banks and wallets in seconds, 24/7, using keys such as a phone number, ID number or email. Nequi lets users pay by QR, receive Bre-B transfers and shop online with its Visa debit card.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC checkout does not offer PSE, Bre-B or Nequi payments today. Colombian shoppers can use the card form, including Nequi's Visa debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay; PayPal can't charge in Colombian pesos, so it shows only when the store prices in a PayPal currency such as US dollars.
PSE and Bre-B
PSE debits the shopper's bank account online during checkout. Bre-B, explained by Bancolombia, works from $1 to $11,552,000 per transfer and uses keys instead of account numbers.
Mercado Pago in Colombia
Mercado Pago's Checkout Pro in Colombia offers cards, Mercado Pago balance, PSE and Efecty cash payments.
