A worked month
Assumptions: Stripe's standard pricing, an average order of CZK 1,250, every payment successful, no refunds or disputes. Each line is rounded to the cent.
CZK 250,000.00 in 200 orders, all standard European Economic Area cards: 1.5% of CZK 250,000.00 = CZK 3,750.00, plus 200 × CZK 6.50 = CZK 1,300.00. Total CZK 5,050.00, or 2.02% of sales.
CZK 1,250,000.00 in 1,000 orders, all standard European Economic Area cards: 1.5% of CZK 1,250,000.00 = CZK 18,750.00, plus 1,000 × CZK 6.50 = CZK 6,500.00. Total CZK 25,250.00, or 2.02% of sales.
If a fifth of that CZK 1,250,000 month came from international cards at 3.15% + CZK 6.50, with no currency conversion, the bill would be CZK 20,200.00 on the domestic CZK 1,000,000 plus CZK 9,175.00 on the international CZK 250,000: CZK 29,375.00 in total.
| Month | Card mix | Stripe fees | Effective rate |

| CZK 250,000 in 200 orders | All domestic standard cards | CZK 5,050.00 | 2.02% |
| CZK 250,000 in 200 orders | 80% domestic, 20% international cards (no conversion) | CZK 5,875.00 | 2.35% |
| CZK 1,250,000 in 1,000 orders | All domestic standard cards | CZK 25,250.00 | 2.02% |
| CZK 1,250,000 in 1,000 orders | 80% domestic, 20% international cards (no conversion) | CZK 29,375.00 | 2.35% |
What raises your fees
The headline rate covers the cheapest case. These push the real cost up:
- Premium cards: 2.8% + CZK 6.50 instead of 1.5% + CZK 6.50.
- Cards from abroad — UK cards: 2.5% + CZK 6.50.
- Cards from abroad — international cards (outside the EEA and UK): 3.15% + CZK 6.50.
- Currency conversion: +2% when the payment is in a currency other than the one you are paid out in.
- Disputes: CZK 550.00 for each dispute received, plus CZK 550.00 if you counter it by hand (given back if you win).
- Small orders: the fixed CZK 6.50 weighs more on a small basket. On a CZK 250 order, 1.5% + CZK 6.50 is 4.10% of the sale.
For developers
The fee Stripe actually took on a payment is on that charge's balance transaction (fee and fee_details), in your settlement currency. Read it from there rather than recomputing it from this page, because card type and conversion change it per payment.
