What PlatformDTC does
For Checkout.com 20151, PlatformDTC's routing answer is authenticate, not reroute. The shopper completes the bank's 3-D Secure check through Checkout.com Flow; no second processor is offered. A subscription renewal declined with 20151 is not retried without the customer: they get an email asking them to confirm the payment with their bank.
Why it happens
The bank's verification step returned a failure: wrong code, timeout, or the cardholder declined the prompt.
What the shopper can do
Try again and approve the request in the banking app, or enter the code carefully.
What the store can do
Let the shopper retry once. Repeated failures on one card from one visitor deserve caution.
