What PlatformDTC does

Shopify charges its 0.2%–2% extra fee whenever a store in Norway takes cards through another provider. NOK 100,000.00 in 200 orders on Basic: 2% of NOK 100,000.00 = NOK 2,000.00, plus 200 × NOK 2.00 = NOK 400.00, so card fees are NOK 2,400.00 (2.40% of sales). With the NOK 389 plan the month costs NOK 2,789.00.

NOK 500,000.00 in 1,000 orders on Basic: 2% of NOK 500,000.00 = NOK 10,000.00, plus 1,000 × NOK 2.00 = NOK 2,000.00, so card fees are NOK 12,000.00 (2.40% of sales). With the NOK 389 plan the month costs NOK 12,389.00.

Grow costs NOK 641 a month more than Basic and saves 0.1% on every standard card sale, so it pays for itself above NOK 641,000.00 of card sales a month.
