Tabby for online stores: how it works in Saudi Arabia and the UAE
Checked
Tabby is a buy now, pay later provider operating in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Online shoppers can split a purchase into four interest-free payments or choose longer plans of up to 12 payments, and Tabby also offers pay next month for everyday spending. Merchants receive the full amount within days. A store must capture each authorised payment to be settled, can refund within 180 days of payment creation, and handles disputes in Tabby's dashboard or API.

What PlatformDTC does
PlatformDTC checkout does not offer Tabby today, and Klarna and Afterpay don't cover the Gulf. Shoppers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and stores there with their own MyFatoorah account can take cards through it.
How Tabby works
The shopper chooses Tabby, completes Tabby's checkout and is redirected back. The store checks the payment status server to server: authorised means process the order and capture it. A Tabby checkout session expires 20 minutes after it is created, and the payment turns expired about 10 minutes later. Tabby can also be used in shops through the Tabby Card, payment links or a QR code.
Capture, refunds and disputes
Only captured payments are settled to the store, and shoppers can only dispute captured payments. Tabby leaves an authorised payment untouched for 21 days; after that it may capture the rest itself. A full refund cancels all upcoming installments and returns the down payment. A partial refund first reduces the remaining installments and only returns part of the down payment if it is larger than what is still owed.
