Search engine listing, barcodes and photo alt text

Choose how products look in Google and link previews, add barcodes, and describe your photos.

  • Search engine listing. On each product, set the page title and meta description shown in Google results and link previews. Leave them blank and the product title and description are used. See Search listing, barcodes and alt text.
  • Barcodes on variants. ISBN, UPC, EAN or GTIN, in the new Barcode field on each variant.
  • Alt text on photos. Click ALT on a product photo to describe it for screen readers and search engines.
  • Imports keep them. CSV import, Shopify link import and moving from Shopify now bring SEO title, SEO description, barcodes and image alt text across. Duplicating a product copies them too.
For developers
  • Products: seo_title, seo_description. Variants: barcode. Images: alt, set with PATCH /api/v1/products/{id}/images/{image_id}.
