v1.97

Automated collections, import products from a file, theme editor upgrades

Collections that fill themselves, whole catalogues from one file, and more control in the theme editor.

  • Automated collections. Set conditions — title, type, vendor, tag, price, compare-at price or stock — and every product that matches is in the collection, now and as your catalogue changes. Choose whether products must meet all conditions or any one. See Collections.
  • Import products from a CSV file. Products → Import Products → From a CSV file. A Shopify export works as it is: options, variants, prices, costs, stock and photos come across, and every problem is shown in a plain sentence before anything is added. Tick Update products that already exist to refresh products you already have (matched by handle) instead of skipping them. See Import products from a file.
  • Arrange product photos. Drag a photo, or use Move earlier / Move later; the first photo is the Featured one. The new order now reaches your store.
  • Theme editor:
    • Bold, italic and line breaks in Text blocks, FAQ answers and review quotes.
    • Links on Text and Group blocks — make a whole card clickable; buttons inside it still work.
    • Social media links in the footer — Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr and Vimeo. Only the ones you fill in are shown.
    • Multi-column on phones — choose 1 or 2 columns on mobile, swipe through columns on a phone, or show them as a slider on desktop.
    • Groups can go in the scrolling ticker, and review blocks can show up to three customer photos.

Fixed

  • Photo order changes and new uploads on some products didn't show on the store. They do now.
  • Image-with-text sections fit a phone screen, and button labels stay on one line.
For developers
  • GET / PUT /api/v1/collections/{id}/rules; GET /collections returns automated. Membership edits on an automated collection return 409.
  • POST /api/v1/products/import/csv/preview and POST /api/v1/products/import/csv (update_existing overwrites products with the same handle; results carry updated).
