v1.94

Authorize.Net subscriptions, PayPal portal fix, Skio moves and card requests

Subscriptions now renew on Authorize.Net, and moved subscribers can add their own card from a one-click email.

  • Authorize.Net subscription renewals. A subscription bought through Authorize.Net saves the card in an Authorize.Net customer profile, and renewals charge it as a recurring card-on-file payment. Refunds and voids work for checkout and renewal orders. A customer who updates their card in the portal moves that subscription to Stripe.
  • Renewals that fail because a payment provider is down are deferred, not dunned, now including Authorize.Net: no failed attempt, no customer email, retried automatically.
  • PayPal in the customer portal. When a customer re-connects PayPal, the new PayPal account replaces the old one, including an imported billing agreement, so renewals stop charging an agreement PayPal has already cancelled.
  • Move from Shopify: Skio. Subscriptions can now be moved from Skio as well as Recharge — products, quantities, prices, frequency, next billing date, address, shipping and discounts.
  • Ask subscribers to add their card. For moved subscribers whose card couldn't move (PayPal, cards held by Shopify Payments), Email subscribers sends a store-branded email with a one-click link that signs them in to add a card or PayPal. Reminders on day 3 and 7; at most one email per 24 hours and 6 in total; links expire after 7 days. Once the card is added the subscription switches on at its original date if you've confirmed the old app stopped billing.
