First renewal follows the plan
A new subscription's first renewal is now exactly one plan interval after checkout.
Changed for merchants
- No more "Wait before first charge". The field is gone from Subscriptions → Plans and from Create checkout link. A monthly subscription first renews one calendar month after checkout, an every-3-months subscription three months after. To sell a bundle that ships several months of product up front, sell it on the longer plan — Create checkout link now offers Every 2 months. Checkout links and ads created with a wait keep working and charge the same price; only the wait is ignored. Subscriptions that already exist keep their scheduled dates. The checkout page's "starting" date now matches the calendar-month renewal. See When renewals are charged.
