v1.84
Renewals charge on the same day every month
A subscription renewal is now charged on its renewal date, at the time of day the customer checked out — the same day every cycle, the way Stripe Billing and Recharge bill.
Changed for merchants
- No more moving renewals to payday. Renewals used to wait up to 4 days for the customer's payday and ran at your store's billing hour. Every renewal now charges on the subscription's billing day: a monthly subscription started on the 5th is charged on the 5th, and one started on January 31 is charged on February 28, then March 31.
- The subscriptions list shows one date. The renewal date is the charge date. A second "Charges …" line appears under it only when the charge is scheduled for a different day — because you rescheduled or delayed the renewal, or because it is being retried.
- Billing & retry hour is now Retry hour. In Subscriptions → Settings → Dunning & Smart Retries the hour now applies to automatic retries only.
Not changed
- Insufficient-funds retries still wait for payday. With Smart AI retry, a renewal declined for insufficient funds is still retried on the customer's next likely payday, at your retry hour in their time zone. See Insufficient funds: retried on payday.
