v1.73

Move from Shopify

Move your store from Shopify: products, customers, order history, discount codes, redirects, pages and Recharge subscriptions.

  • Move from Shopify. In Settings → Move from Shopify (also linked from Subscriptions → Import), connect your Shopify store with a Dev Dashboard app's Client ID and secret or an existing custom app's access token, and optionally a Recharge API token. A preview shows how many records of each type will move and what can't be read and why. The move runs in the background, picks up where it left off if you close the page, and never duplicates anything, so you can run it again later to pick up new records. Nothing is changed in Shopify or Recharge. See Move from Shopify.
  • What moves. Products (variants, prices, images copied to PlatformDTC's CDN, and the same /products/<handle> addresses), collections, customers with their marketing consent exactly as Shopify recorded it, order history as archived orders that never trigger fulfilment, emails or charges, order-wide and free-shipping discount codes with their usage counts, URL redirects, and pages.
  • Recharge subscriptions come in paused, with their price, frequency and next charge date. Bring your subscribers' saved cards over with Stripe's customer copy or a Stripe card import mapping file, click Check cards, then switch subscriptions on once you've turned them off in Recharge.
  • A report for every run, with Imported, Already here, Skipped, Failed and Warnings per type and the reason for each record. Retry failed re-reads just the failed records.
  • What can't move is listed, not hidden. Customer passwords, gift cards (Shopify only shows their last 4 characters), and discount codes with conditions such as specific products or a minimum purchase are listed in the report so you can recreate them.
