Upsell funnels and Membership

• Upsell funnels (Checkout Editor → Post-purchase offers). Offers on the page right after payment, accepted without re-entering payment details. Each step can be a product offer added to the order, a one-time order turned into a subscription, an item added to the next subscription shipment, or an upgrade to prepaid. Set a downsell after a decline and a follow-up after an accept, target funnels by products, order subtotal, subscription status, first order and customer tags, schedule them, and A/B test up to five variants.
• Explicit consent for subscription offers. A one-time order becomes a subscription only when the customer ticks a checkbox that is never pre-ticked and then accepts. Nothing is charged until the first renewal date.
• Add-on offers in pre-renewal reminder emails (Subscriptions → Portal → Upsells), and frequency change and upgrade to prepaid in the customer portal.
• Upsell report (Analytics → Reports → Upsells): impressions, accepts, take rate, upsell revenue and subscription conversions, by funnel, variant and step.
• Membership (Membership in the sidebar). Plans with a member discount, member prices on variants, free shipping, an extra discount on subscriptions, and member-only and early-access products — enforced at checkout for signed-in members and for shoppers who join in that checkout.
• Member card in the customer portal with the member's real savings, cancellation in the portal with perks to the end of the paid period, and a 7-day grace period when a renewal payment fails.
• Membership tiers that add perks for members who reach a number of paid periods or a spend over a window.

Good to know

• PayPal orders are not shown paid post-purchase offers: no product offers, subscription conversions or prepaid upgrades.
• Membership needs card or PayPal checkout. Other payment methods refuse an order with a membership or a member-only or early-access product.
