v1.25

A rebuilt Checkout Editor

The Checkout Editor has been rebuilt around a live preview of your checkout: pick a section or click the page itself to edit it, arrange blocks by dragging, and save to publish.

Changed

  • One screen instead of tabs. The editor now has three panels — Sections, Settings and Post-purchase offers — with your checkout or thank-you page in the middle and the settings for what you select on the right.
  • Sections. The page is shown as a tree of its Header, Main, Order summary and Footer. Add a block to any section from a searchable picker, drag blocks within and between sections, hide a block without losing its content, or duplicate and remove it.
  • Click to edit. With the Inspector on, click anything in the preview to open its settings. Turn the Inspector off to use the preview the way a shopper would.
  • Save publishes. The separate Save draft and Publish buttons are replaced by Save (⌘S), which saves your changes and publishes them to your live checkout. Save as draft keeps your edits without publishing, and Discard unsaved changes goes back to your last save. A badge shows whether your checkout is live or has unsaved or unpublished changes.
  • Delivery and local pickup are now set from the Delivery section, in the Sections panel or by clicking it in the preview.

Added

  • Undo and redo (⌘Z / ⇧⌘Z), and a desktop / mobile preview toggle.
  • More branding settings: header and order summary backgrounds, the Pay button color, error color, transparent fields, a separate headings font, and logo width. Text on every color you pick is set automatically for contrast.
  • Address autocompletion switch, to turn address suggestions on or off.

Good to know

  • Your live checkout doesn't change until you save. The preview never charges a card.
  • Settings apply to both pages. Branding set in the Settings panel is used on your checkout and your thank-you page.
