v1.24
One fraud risk level on the order page and in the order list
The order list's Risk column, the Risk level filter and sort, and order exports now show the same risk level as the Fraud analysis card on the order page.
Before, the order list showed the level from the payment processor's own scoring, while the order page showed PlatformDTC's fraud analysis. The two could disagree about the same order: an order could read Highest risk on its page, Normal in the list, and be missing from the Highest filter.
Changed
- One risk level everywhere. The order page, the Risk column, the Risk level filter and sort, and the Risk Level column in order exports all use PlatformDTC's fraud analysis. See Fraud analysis for how the level is decided.
- The level stays up to date. A later order from the same IP address or card, a new fraud report or dispute, or an edited delivery address updates it automatically, usually within a minute.
Good to know
- Not scored is not Normal. An order with too little payment information to check shows no level in the list and is left out of every Risk level filter. This includes many older orders placed before card details were recorded.
- Every order was re-checked. Your existing orders were assessed when this change shipped, so some list levels changed. Most changes are orders that now show Elevated because they were paid with a card type that draws most fraud reports.
