What does the Supplier Network cost?

Nothing in the first year. PlatformDTC charges no platform fee on network orders and no money passes through PlatformDTC: the supplier invoices the merchant directly for wholesale and shipping, using a statement both sides can see. The statement carries a fee line so any future change is visible, and it reads 0% throughout year one.

Does PlatformDTC review suppliers or products before they are listed?

No. A supplier accepts the Supplier Terms when joining, and under them is responsible for the safety, labelling and regulatory compliance of what they list and for fulfilling the orders they accept. What merchants see instead is measured: once a supplier has handled at least ten orders, the profile shows their acceptance rate, median time to ship and on-time rate against the handling time they promised.

What happens to my store if a supplier runs out or stops selling a product?

Stock on your imported copy follows the supplier’s inventory. If the supplier pauses or removes the listing, your copy becomes unavailable to buy but stays in your store, so nothing vanishes without you deciding. A wholesale price change updates your product cost and never your selling price.

Can a supplier use their own warehouse or order system?

Yes. Network orders are standard fulfillment orders, so a supplier can work them in the dashboard or connect an existing system to the PlatformDTC Fulfillment API, which follows Shopify’s FulfillmentOrder model and field names. The dashboard and the API act on the same orders.

Is the existing product catalog going away?

No. The catalog merchants already source from stays as it is and imports the same way. Network products are added beside it and can be shown on their own with the Supplier network filter.

For suppliers

List what you already sell: Pick products from your own PlatformDTC store. Set a wholesale price for each variant, an optional retail price, and shipping rates for the US and other destinations.
Orders arrive on their own: When a merchant’s customer buys your product, that order line is routed to you as a fulfillment request. You don’t need to watch anyone’s store.
Ship from the dashboard or the API: Accept, reject and ship in Suppliers → Orders, or connect your own system to the Fulfillment API. Both see the same orders.
A statement per merchant: See what each merchant owes you, order by order, and download it as CSV to invoice from your own billing system.

Browse in your catalog: Network products sit in the catalog you already use, under a Supplier network filter, with the supplier’s name and handling time.
Import in one click: The product is copied into your store with its images and variants, and its cost is set to the wholesale price. You set the selling price, and nothing is marked up for you.
Stock that stays true: Stock follows the supplier’s inventory. If a supplier pauses a product, your copy stops being purchasable, and it is never deleted.
Tracking on your order: The supplier’s tracking lands on your order, and your customer gets your store’s usual shipping email.

Choose products from your store and set wholesale prices and shipping. A product needs a title and at least one image to be listed.

Accept and ship the orders routed to you. Invoice each merchant directly from your statement.

PlatformDTC takes nothing from network orders in the first year, and no money passes through us. The supplier invoices the merchant for wholesale and shipping, on terms the two of them agree.

Both sides work from the same numbers: suppliers see what each merchant owes them, and merchants see what they owe each supplier, order by order. The wholesale cost is also written to the merchant’s order, so their profit reporting is right without anyone uploading costs.
