v1.70
App Store: customer data requests, partner refunds, review guidelines
The App Store is ready for more developers: merchants can answer customer data requests, and developers can refund merchants.
- Request customer data. On a customer's page, More actions → Request customer data downloads the data PlatformDTC holds on that customer, and asks every installed app that can read customer data to send you what it holds. Use it when a customer asks what personal data your store has about them.
- Tell a developer why you uninstall. Uninstalling an app now lets you pick a reason and leave a note for the developer. Both are optional.
- Deleting a customer now tells you that installed apps are asked to erase that customer's data (they always were).
New for developers
- Refunds. Refund a merchant's payment for your app, in full or in part, from your app's Earnings → Payments, or with
POST /app_billing/partner/{partner_id}/charges/{charge_id}/refund. See Refunds. customers/data_requestis now sent when a merchant requests a customer's data. See Compliance payloads.- Uninstall reasons merchants give appear on your app's Installs tab.
- Review guidelines: everything a public app needs before you submit it, in one checklist.
Changed for developers
- A listing now needs a support email or support URL before it can be submitted.
- Submitting a version again after the review team asks for changes reopens the same review case, and submitting a version that is already in review is refused. Before, it could open a second case for the same version.
