Product reviews

Collect verified-purchase reviews with photos on your product pages, laid out the way shoppers expect: average rating, a 5 to 1 star breakdown, a strip of shopper photos, star filters, sorting and pages of reviews.

• Products → Reviews. Switch reviews on, choose whether new reviews go live straight away or wait for your approval, and moderate every review: publish, hide, reply publicly or delete. Filter by status and stars, or search. See Product reviews.
• Product reviews section. Add Product reviews to the product page in the theme editor (the default theme and Daily Ritual include it). Shoppers write a review with their email and order number, which proves they bought the product, and can add up to 5 photos.
• Real stars under the title. The product title and Product rating blocks now show the rating from your published reviews and link to them.
• API. GET/POST /api/v1/storefront/reviews for storefronts and /api/v1/product-reviews for moderation.

Fixed: the stars under a product title read a rating field nothing on the platform fills in, so a reviewed product showed no stars. They now come from published reviews.

Privacy: shopper photos are re-saved without location data or other camera metadata, and only the reviewer's first name and last initial are shown.

Unchanged: nothing is shown on your store until you switch reviews on. A product without published reviews shows only the Write a Review button.
