Volume discounts

Buy more, save more. Create an automatic volume discount — "Buy 2, get 10% off · Buy 3, get 15% off · Buy 4+, get 20% off" — and checkout applies it with no code, on every payment method.

• Volume discount. In Discounts → Volume discount, set percentage or amount-off-each-item tiers, the products or collections it covers, whether codes may combine with it, and optional dates. Edit it from its row; Usage counts the orders it was applied to. See Volume discounts.
• Volume discount block. Add it to the product page or a featured product section in the theme editor: a titled box listing the tiers, the tier the chosen quantity reaches highlighted, and "Discounts apply automatically in the cart". Hidden when no volume discount covers the product.
• Cart and checkout. The cart page and cart drawer show the saving the cart reaches, and the checkout summary shows it as its own line under the discount's title — the same amount the card, wallet, PayPal or Authorize.Net payment is charged.

New for developers

• applies_to.quantity_tiers on an automatic product discount (POST /api/v1/discounts), GET /api/v1/checkout/cart/volume-offers/{store_id}/{product_id}, and automatic_discounts from POST /api/v1/checkout/validate-coupon with cart items. See Discounts.

Unchanged: discount codes work as before. A code that does not combine with a volume discount gives the shopper whichever saves more.
