Product add-ons

Offer a gift box, gift wrap or any other product as a checkbox on a product page. When the shopper ticks it, Add to cart and Buy now add it as its own line.

• Add-on block. In the theme editor, add the Add-on block to the product page or a featured product section and pick the add-on product. It shows the product's own photo, name, price and compare-at price, with a heading, a description and a checkbox label you write (for example "Add-On Gift Box Service", "Choose to buy"). It can be ticked by default, and its quantity can be 1 or match the product's quantity. See Product add-ons.
• Every buy button. Add to cart, Buy it now and the express checkout buttons of the section all add the ticked add-on. Checkout charges its catalog price.
• Personalisation stays on the product. An app's customisation (for example a name or photo) stays on the product's line, and the add-on line has none.

Unchanged: a subscription or gift subscription never includes the add-on. If the add-on is deleted, unpublished or sold out, the block is hidden and nothing is added.
