v1.48
The Supplier Network
Merchants can now sell their products wholesale to other merchants on PlatformDTC, and source products from each other.
New
- Become a supplier. List products from your own store under Suppliers. Set a wholesale price, an optional retail price and shipping rates for each product. There is no review before you list: suppliers accept the Supplier Terms and are responsible for their products' safety, labelling, compliance and fulfillment. See Sell on the Supplier Network.
- Source from the network. Network products appear in your catalog under a new Supplier network filter, with the supplier's name and handling time. Add to store imports the product with its images and variants, with its cost set to the wholesale price. See Source products from the Supplier Network.
- Orders route themselves. A customer's order for a network product goes to the supplier automatically. The supplier accepts it and ships it from the dashboard or through the Fulfillment API, and the tracking reaches your order and your customer's shipping email.
- Stock stays in sync. When a supplier pauses a listing, your copy can no longer be bought, and it is not deleted. A wholesale price change updates your cost and never your selling price.
- Statements on both sides. Suppliers see what each merchant owes them, and merchants see what they owe each supplier, order by order. Both can be downloaded as CSV.
Pricing
- 0% platform fee for the first year. No money passes through PlatformDTC. Suppliers bill merchants directly.
Unchanged: the existing catalog is still there and still imports the same way.
