Store policies and your business identity on checkout
Your checkout footer now shows your store policies and who is selling: your legal business name, country and support phone.
Added
- Settings → Policies: refund, shipping, privacy, terms of service, subscription policy, contact information and legal notice. Each one has a template filled in from what PlatformDTC knows about your store, and blanks for what only you know. You can't save a policy that still has a blank.
- Policy links in the checkout footer. Each published policy opens on the checkout page, so the customer keeps their cart. The subscription policy only appears when the cart has a subscription.
- Business identity in the checkout footer: your legal business name (for registered businesses), country and support phone number, from your payments account.
Good to know
- Every store's checkout runs on platformdtc.com. Card networks expect the refund policy, customer-service contact and merchant identity on the checkout before the customer pays.
- Nothing appears until you publish it. A store with no published policies shows no policy links.
