Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Legalize Freedom LLC (dba PlatformDTC) ("PlatformDTC", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on platformdtc.com, including the PlatformDTC dashboard you sign in to. It lists every cookie and browser-storage entry we use, what each one does, who sets it and how long it lasts. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.

Merchant storefronts built on PlatformDTC, and the checkout pages shoppers use to buy from them, are operated for the merchant and are covered by that merchant’s own policies, not this one.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way: they let a site keep information in your browser, either until it is cleared (local storage) or until you close the tab (session storage). In this policy, “cookies” covers all three.

How we ask for your consent

  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use only strictly necessary cookies until you choose. A banner lets you accept all optional cookies, reject them, or choose by category — each with one click.
  • Everywhere else, functional and analytics cookies are on unless you turn them off.
  • We work out which applies from the country of your internet connection, checked once per browser session. We do not store the country: only the yes-or-no answer is kept, in session storage, until you make a choice. If the check fails, we treat you as being in a region that requires consent.
  • Google Analytics applies the same regional rule itself, through Google Consent Mode, from the moment the page loads. While analytics is off for you, Google Analytics sends measurements without cookies, as Google describes in its consent mode documentation. Google’s advertising consent signals are always sent as denied.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out: analytics cookies stay off while the signal is on, whatever else you choose.
  • Your choice lasts 12 months if you allow a category, after which we may ask again. If you refuse a category, it stays off until you change it.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Keep you signed in, protect the dashboard and remember the cookie choices you make here. They are always on, because the site cannot work without them, and they are never used for analytics or advertising.

Functional

Let Google One Tap offer sign-in with a Google account already in your browser when you visit the homepage, and remember when you dismissed it. With these off you can still sign in with Google from the Sign in button.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
g_state CookieGoogle (Google Identity Services)Written on platformdtc.com when the One Tap sign-in prompt runs. Records whether you closed or ignored it, so Google waits before showing it again — two hours after the first close, up to four weeks after repeated closes.180 days

Analytics

Let Google Analytics use cookies to count visits and see how people find and use platformdtc.com, so we can improve it.

Advertising

PlatformDTC does not use advertising cookies, ad pixels or cross-site tracking on platformdtc.com. There is no advertising category to switch on or off.

Third parties

ProviderServiceWhat it does on platformdtc.com
Google LLCGoogle Analytics 4Measures visits and how the site is used. Loaded on every page; uses cookies only when analytics is allowed.
Google LLCGoogle Identity ServicesRuns Continue with Google when you choose to sign in with Google — strictly necessary for the sign-in you asked for. When functional cookies are allowed, it also shows the One Tap prompt on the homepage, which asks your browser whether you are signed in to a Google account so it can offer that account.

Google’s own cookies on its own domains are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services here.

In the dashboard

After you sign in, the dashboard also keeps settings you choose — such as the date range or chart grouping you last used on a report — in local storage, so they are still there next time. They stay in your browser, are used only by those features, and are strictly necessary for them.

Changes to this policy

When the cookies we use change, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change needs your consent, we ask again.

Questions about this policy: privacy@platformdtc.com.

Changing your choices

Use Cookie preferences in the footer of any platformdtc.com page, or the button below, to see and change what you have allowed. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in. To stop Google Analytics on every website that uses it, Google offers a browser add-on.
