App Bridge on the CDN, faster app setup

Build an embedded app with nothing to install. App Bridge now loads from the PlatformDTC CDN, and dtc app init sets up your app on your partner account in the same step.

New for app developers

  • App Bridge on the CDN. Load https://cdn.platformdtc.com/app-bridge/v1/app-bridge.js as an ES module (types at …/v1/app-bridge.d.ts). The dtc app init starter imports it through an import map, so it has no npm dependencies. See Embedded apps.
  • dtc app init creates and links the app when you are signed in, filling in client_id and .env. Signed out, it tells you to run dtc login and dtc app config link. --no-link skips it. Update with dtc upgrade (CLI 0.1.1).
  • Clearer sign-in screen. dtc login now shows the PlatformDTC CLI as verified, the heading says what it asks for (themes, apps or both), and the apps permission reads Create and manage your apps.

Fixed: a freshly created starter app failed npm install, because it depended on an App Bridge package that was never published to npm.
