v1.195
The PayPal button can use both your PayPal accounts
If your store has two PayPal accounts connected, the PayPal button can now send part of your new PayPal sales to the second one.
New
- Use both PayPal accounts for the PayPal button in Settings → Payments, under PayPal Express Checkout. It shows up when PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Card Processing are connected with different PayPal accounts.
- Choose the share of new PayPal sales on account 2: 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% or 50%. Switching it on starts at 20%.
- Each account shows whether it's working and, once it has sales today, how much it took today.
- Automatic pause: if PayPal refuses payments on one account, new checkouts go to the other one straight away. The account comes back by itself after 30 minutes.
Worth knowing
- Each checkout runs on one account. Repeat buyers stay on the account they paid on before, and the split balances by money each day.
- Subscriptions, refunds, upsells and tracking stay with the account that took the payment. Changing the share never moves an existing subscription.
- Start around 20% on a new PayPal account and raise it gradually: PayPal can hold money on an account whose sales jump suddenly. See Use two PayPal accounts for the PayPal button.
