v1.148
Fewer setup steps
Products you add go on sale at once, emails carry your store's name, and shipping and taxes each have one clear place.
- Add to store = on sale. A product you add from the catalogue or the Supplier Network is live in your store right away when it has a price, with a View button in the message. A product with no price is added as a draft and the message says so. Importing from Shopify links has Put on sale now ticked by default. See Source from the Supplier Network.
- Your store's name on customer emails. Order, shipping and other customer emails from a store without its own email domain now show your store's name as the sender instead of "Platform DTC". Replies still come to you.
- One place for shipping prices. Shipping is set only in Settings → Shipping; the Checkout settings page links there. The settings menu item that was called Shipping & sales is now Checkout.
- Taxes and duties for every store. Settings → Taxes and duties is always in the menu, with no app to install. Your business address is filled in from your payments account, registration types are in plain words, and the usual product category is General – physical goods. Nothing is charged until you add a registration and switch tax on yourself. See Sales tax.
