Sell digital products
Sell downloads, such as ebooks, templates and presets, on their own or together with a physical item, in one cart and one checkout.
- Customers get. On each variant choose A physical item, A download or Both, and upload the files on the product page, up to 2 GB each, for every variant or just one. See Sell digital products.
- Files right away. Buyers get their files on the thank-you page, in a "Your downloads are ready" email and from their account. Links work for 30 days and allow 5 downloads per file; change both per product. A buyer whose link ran out can ask for a fresh one, which is always emailed to the address on the order.
- No address for downloads. When nothing in the cart ships, checkout asks only for the country (and postal code where it's used) for tax. Mixed carts ship as usual.
- EU buyers tick a box to start their download now, which ends their 14-day right to cancel. The time they ticked it is saved on the order.
- Safe by default. Orders the payment provider flags as high risk wait for your OK. Refunds, chargebacks, fraud warnings and cancelled orders turn the downloads off.
- Downloads card on the order page: downloads used per file, when the link stops working, and Resend, Turn off or send held downloads.
- Downloads count as fulfilled at once, are never sent to suppliers and are never returnable. Shopify and CSV imports keep each variant's "requires shipping" setting.
