What does PlatformDTC cost?

There is no plan fee and no setup fee. You pay 2.9% + $0.30 per card sale. Subscription orders add 0.5%, an international card adds 1.5% and currency conversion adds 1%, only when they apply. Payouts to your bank cost 0.25% + $0.25 each, and $2 only in a month you get paid out, at cost.

Is PlatformDTC always cheaper?

No. PlatformDTC has Shopify Basic's card rate and no plan price, so plan plus card fees cost less than on Basic, and less than on every plan when you take cards through another payment provider on Shopify. The calculator does not count our payouts: 0.25% + $0.25 each, and $2 only in a month you get paid out, at cost. On Grow or Advanced with Shopify Payments, Shopify’s lower card rate outweighs its plan price once sales are high enough. The calculator shows that case as it is.

Why is Shopify Plus not in the calculator?

Shopify publishes only that Plus starts at $2,300 a month and that its card rates are custom. Without a published rate there is nothing honest to calculate.
